How to Measure Your PD (Pupillary Distance)

Your PD (Pupillary Distance) is the distance between the centers of your pupils, measured in millimeters (mm). An accurate PD helps us properly center your prescription lenses for clear, comfortable vision.

⭐ Recommended: Use Virtual Try-On

For the best and most accurate results, we recommend using the Virtual Try-On with the CREDIT CARD sizing method.

Using a standard credit card as the size reference generally gives better sizing results than using the glasses/frame sizing option in the Virtual Try-On.

Simply follow the Virtual Try-On instructions, choose the credit card method, and hold a standard-size credit card as directed. Once your PD measurement is displayed, write the number down so you can enter it when ordering your glasses.

🔒 Protect Your Card Information

For your privacy and security, always completely cover the card number, expiration date, security code, and any other personal information before using your card with Virtual Try-On.

We recommend using an old, expired, inactive, or unused standard-size card whenever possible. The Virtual Try-On only needs the card for its physical size—it does NOT need any of the information printed on the card.

Measuring Your PD With a Ruler

You can also measure your PD manually:

  1. Stand about 8 inches (20 cm) away from a mirror.

  2. Hold a millimeter ruler flat against your forehead, just above your eyes.

  3. Close your right eye and line up the 0 mm mark with the center of your left pupil.

  4. Open your right eye and close your left eye without moving the ruler.

  5. Read the number that lines up with the center of your right pupil.

  6. That number is your PD in millimeters.

For better accuracy, measure 2–3 times and make sure you get the same result.
